Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program

Certification

What is the DBE/ACDBE Certification Process at the Airports?

Step 1 - Application is completed and applicant provides all required information

Step 2 - On-site review conducted at the applicant's office

Step 3 - Firm's eligibility is reviewed

Step 4 - If the application is approved, the applicant is notified, in writing, of the certification approval

  • The DBE/ACDBE certification letter clearly indicates approval of the firm by the Airport as a DBE/ACDBE
  • A firm remains certified by the Airport as a DBE/ACDBE until the firm is decertified, however, certain information must be submitted to the Airport each year during the period, in order to remain an active DBE/ACDBE
  • If an applicant is denied certification, the Airport issues a denial letter listing the reasons for the intended denial and provides information related to the appeal process
